New Orleans

New Orleans has been my target destination for a vacation for years. I love the music and in my younger days Mardi Gras was a draw (not so much any longer).

My mother suggested we go several years ago and it didn't happen. She made it there a few months before Hurricane Katrina hit. From all I have seen in the aftermath of that, some of the mystique of the town has gone away.

I know i would enjoy the town. The French Quarter is in fine shape. Tipitina's is still there. Bourbon Street is still happening. I am talking myself into wanting to go now. :)
